A Scary Night (poetry)

Behind the scudding clouds
Heaven squint
With the crescent moon
Darkness is down
Evil will walk till the dawn

Horrific melody
Howling,
Hooting at distance
Squeaking and creaking nigh
Tapping my roof,
Sudden rain's hoofs

Barging wind,
Banging my door
To its bidding,
My windows' wings flap
Rooted to the spot,
I hear my name called,
Whispers of spooky prowlers

Audible,
The thunder rages and rumbles
Holding a flashing sword
To do loose demons
into swaying debris
I hear scream and thud
At my front door

Anomaly (poetry)

School is a fool
Books are no food
For a belly to be filled
A dream must be killed

Night is a prey
To survive I slay
Marauders out my door
My ear on the floor

Wealth is a curse
There is a serpent in my purse
For the oil in the field
Blood must be spilled

Religion is a bug
Fattened by innocent blood
I kill for my belief
And sigh a relief
